In our latest CLG check-in video and podcast, you will learn about what happened in the prior week, what’s on our minds, and what we are working towards this week!
Here some core ideas from the conversation:
1. Execution mode is the focus right now. With the conference approaching, we’ve shifted from planning to pure execution: finalizing sponsorships, ordering swag, coordinating the run of show, and connecting with potential volunteers.
2. A vendor setback on Friday the 13th. We had a vendor setback, so working through that. Things always pop-up with events, so you gotta just roll with it!
3. Pre-conference momentum is building: Our pre-event “pep rally” mixer had an 85%+ attendance rate on a cold, rainy night in New York, which is higher than normal. Great connection is happening in Slack and WhatsApp too!
4. Growing the whole “community pie”: There’s a broader potential vision that could emerge beyond the conference, using the CLG momentum and the Tighknit community to help grow community-based businesses and the careers of the community builders, particularly those in NYC.
5. CLG seems to have legs. What happens after the conference? We have been hearing interest from people to build community and CLG beyond the conference, which is really exciting since the conference….. hasn’t even happened yet!
